Drawing Workshop with Criw Celf

Here's some examples of the work created by the kids from Criw Celf in our drawing workshop. We used a skeleton as our model for "not alive" drawing session! We started with drawing exercises, drawing with our opposite hand, from memory, using negative space, over lapping drawings. We then moved onto some longer poses exploring some of the ideas and marks we'd looked at during the warm up.

Tigers in Art Workshop: Royal Cambrian Academy

As part of the Summer activities at the Royal Cambrian Academy, they were celebrating animals in art, for my workshop I decided to look at 'Tiger in a Tropical Storm' by Henri Rousseau. Using construction paper, paper plates and some papier mache the children created their very own versions of Rousseau's classic, we even had a Sabertooth Tiger make an appearance!

Tshirt Decorating at Cylch's 80's Night: MOSTYN

I spent a rather enjoyable evening working with a few members of the youth group Cylch at MOSTYN Gallery in Llandudno. The group were holding an 80's Night as a recruitment drive for new members, a little ironic as the group is aimed at 15-25 age bracket, but they appear to love all things 80s!
As the group is peer led, they set the theme for the workshop and approached me to facilitate the idea. They wanted to celebrate the bold graphic fashions of the period, so armed with fabric markers and white T-shirts I ran a drop-in where they could browse some design classics and create their own designs. Above you can see some of the fantastic results!
